Here's an interesting introduction to Helsinki, Finland. Clearly shot on a gorgeous and warm sunny day, our Finnish female host guides us through the nation's capital, mostly focusing on the activities that locals do on a daily basis. There's not very much history or actual travel or tourism information - it's almost more of a lifestyle video, but still makes for a short, fun watch.
Here's a very tranquil look at kayaking (or canoeing?) through Kolovesi National Park in eastern Finland. The water, land and forest seems so raw and unspoiled, and fits the music selection perfectly. The craggy cliffs at the water's edge and the apparent lack of any other people are huge highlights!
Here's a very interesting tour of Nokia, Finland. Yes, that's the namesake of the huge mobile phone company Nokia. It seems to be a nice, quaint little town that was once prepared for growth as the telecommunications company grew - but unfortunately, Nokia moved it's head office and the town has stagnated since. Nevertheless, it's a fascinating look at a town that except for its name, we would never have heard about...
Although this video supposedly showcases the view of Finland from above, it is actually more a short walkthrough of a hot air balloon experience. Taken late in the day, you can see the steps and process of getting prepared, launching, traveling then landing in the balloon. Unfortunately, there's not much of Finland to actually see, although I did really enjoy the shot of the second balloon from above. It is interesting to see just how high they fly, and how they need permission from air traffic control to increase altitude...
The title of this post is to be taken literally - the images are physically moving as opposed to emotionally moving ;-) This video does have some interesting clips of Helsinki, Finland but without any dialogue or music it's rather dry. Nevertheless, it's nice to see some of the city centre and art pieces here...
